According to daily monitor Police in Kampala have arrested two youth over allegations that they dropped four yellow painted piglets at Watoto Church, protesting against the KCCA Kampala City carnival due Sunday October 5.
Two vehicles in which the suspects allegedly used to carry the pigs were also intercepted by police led by Kampala Central police commander James Ruhweza and the divisional police commander, Mr Henry Kintu.

"We arrested two people but we released one, a lady after interrogating her and found that she was innocent. We also ercepted two vehicles which are still in our custody. The suspect and others still at large will be charged in court for inciting violence. The four pigs are also still in our custody at CPS,”Mr Kintu

One of the pigs had a tag with wordings, “Pig Festival. We cannot celebrate Kampala Festival due to youth unemployment and demolition of structures by KCCA” while the other was donning a round yellow cap.

This is the second time youth are protesting against unemployment in the country using yellow painted piglets.
In June, two youths Mr Robert Mayanja and Mr Norman Tumuhimbise were arrested on accusations of smuggling two piglets into the Parliament premises and were later charged with interrupting Parliament activities, criminal trespass and conspiracy to commit a crime.
The two were protesting against corruption and the worsening youth unemployment problem.
