They are seen on screens, their voices are heard in all people’s homes and surely, one cannot doubt how classy they are. They are our celebs and that’s what it means to be a celebrity. However, a close and deeper look at their life beyond screen, an ordinary man is in a better position than them. All they are left with is to keep up the public impression of their ‘classy lifestyle’.

 Straka Mwezi

The screen woman “with the biggest behind” can never stop raising her status just like her butt rises above sea level, regardless of any financial constraints.

Remember when she staged a wedding at Mandela national stadium and called every concerned Ugandan to be part for as long as they paid entrance fee.

Straka has been trying to keep up with the celebrity world to the extent that she chose to rent expensive apartments, failing to raise the rent fees and was forced out of the landlord’s house. Close pals say if she rented within her means, she would be having a fully built mansion perhaps in Muyenga.

 Tonix

Fast fading star Allan Ampaire, aka Tonix, who at one time had his music dominate the airwaves with songs like Tukyekole, (let’s go do it) is always hustling to keep the first impression. Close pals say even without gigs, he will frequent expensive places because he is a “celebrity”. When he storms the clubs, he will go straight to the shishas corner to continue with a show of class. But friends say he is not doing well financially.

 MunG

When Emmanuel Mungi famously known as Mun G released “Sejjusa,” he surely didn’t have any regrets because the song was instantly embraced by all local radio stations. To him, it was over; he had joined the big-league musicians. He tested his size by staging concerts in places where his resources could not favor him. For more than twice, he has been denied access to perform from Katikati, a place where artists with worthwhile resources have had successful shows. His latest show called Byanyanga was staged at Kati Kati but never had success after Kampala’s Iron lady, Jennifer Musisi foiled it.

Gravity Omutujju

This dude is known for his rhythmic rhymes call it Luga flow. His kind of music has made him get to the airwaves so fast, and he has decided to force himself live like a real super star regardless of how short a time he has been in the industry. Despite him renting in Makindye luwafu, the luga flow king is said to have borrowed 7m from Sipapa which was way too big for him to cough in the agreed time. He drives a land cruiser which he risks losing any time.

Hellen Lukoma

Being in the media has made her push beyond her limits. She is known for throwing parties for her friends, yet she is occasionally caught between a rock and a hard place given that she actually has no straight means of fetching dime. At some point, the pencil thin socialite is rumored to have desperately involved in a sex marathon with a white dude known as Andrew white, who gave her some little dime which he withdrew after wards.

Cindy Sanyu

The dancehall queen has had her share of the hustler’s life, but like a celebrity, she never loses grip of her goal of being a superstar. And since being a superstar needs strategy especially financial strategy, Cindy juggled it out by hooking a white dude and then allegedly snatching another woman’s hubby. But things are not all that smooth for her since the smallest dime she gets is spent in bars sipping liquor.

Rabadaba

He is known for luga flow rhythms. The skinny faded Rastafarian, who also calls self “Omukyamu”, does not have so many songs to make news. But that has not stopped him from storming clubs to drink himself silly, and when the going gets tough for him, he has blades to help him stub his potential threats.

Butcherman

He first came to lime light when he publicly sung a song expressing his dissatisfaction of how women do not feel him given that he is a cripple. When he got some dime, he bought himself a vehicle. Butcher man knocked a Boda boda rider but when the locals demanded him to compensate the victim with 30,000shs, He was not in position to pay the victim. So we wonder if the vehicle would not make him walk home incase it ran out of fuel.
