Jesse Felix commonly referred to as Dolibondo is a comedian based at Centenary Park Laftaz Lounge where he doubles as a director. Dolibondo began his comedy career in 2010 at Theatre Labonita under crackers group comprising of Alex Muhangi, Salvado, Ssebakigye, and Emma Napoleone.
The group later split and everyone moved on to do other businesses. We caught up with Dolibondo for a quick mash interview.
Reporter: What inspires your comedy?
Dolibondo: Smiles; daily life experiences inspire me to do comedy. That is the reason you never hear me do fiction jokes. What I do on stage is something I have experienced or someone has.
Reporter: Sex or love what inspires you?
Dolibondo: Stammers....Okay, I must be slightly taller than u, chocolate color, with some flesh. If you've seen and interacted with Faith Kahumuza she's all I need from a woman; physically mentally and emotionally.
Reporter: You did a Kukyala, are you planning to walk down the aisle?
Dolibondo :( Frowns face…) since we didn't make announcements about Kukyala, we won’t be announcing.
Reporter: You no longer active in comedy, what keeps you engaged?
Dolibondo: I prefer nurturing new talent. I own a platform that many comedians yearn to be at, that's Laftaz Comedy Lounge. I want to be the Diddy of Comedy in Ug.
Reporter: we hear Laftaz is on the verge of collapsing, what happened?
Dolibondo: Hahahaha (laughs)...Kyoka you media guys... We are still strong amidst the terrible economy that is eating up every business.We are not about to close.
