Nigerian award-winning musician Davido performed in Kampala, Uganda, on the 31st of March at Kololo Ceremonial grounds.

The concert was in relation to his timeless album concert tour, which is going on around the world.

However, reports emerged indicating Davido was paid over $400,000, approximately 1.5 billion Uganda shillings, sparking controversy online.

Many social media critics and inlaws are showing concern for Ugandan musicians and criticizing the promoters of the timeless concert for paying peanuts to their own artists and breaking the bank for foreigners.

"Ugandan promoters need to do better, paying all that to a foreigner and giving your own peanuts leaves them in a strange space," one Alpha Allayinah wrote on Facebook.

However, gossip monger Kasuku concurs with Davido. He says asking for much saves him from every Tom and Jerry who would want to organize him.

"I think they ask heavily to limit some promoters who don't have money and still want to organize shows. It's good to maintain the high rates and have a cutoff line," he said.

It should be noted Burna Boy is the most expensive and booked artist. Outside Nigeria, he is booked at $1,000,000."
