As Rwanda began a week of official mourning to mark the 20th anniversary of the genocide, Uganda’s socialite Zari doesn't want to be left behind.

She has joined the many people who are celebrating the birth of the New unified Rwanda.

This is her message she captioned the photo:

God we pray for all families who are mourning in Rwanda, Lord give them comfort and strength. Amen
Last year at the memorial genocide centre in Kigali. A very sad story was told

At least 800,000 people - mostly ethnic Tutsis and moderate Hutus - died at the hands of Hutu extremists.

The killings ended ended in July 1994 when the Rwandan Patriotic Front (RPF), a Tutsi-led rebel movement, marched into Kigali and seized control of the country.
