A total of 7,157 students are graduating from Kyambogo University this week with parents and students worrying about future prospects given the high rates of unemployment in Uganda.

A total of 7,157 students are graduating from Kyambogo University this week with parents and students worrying about future prospects given the high rates of unemployment in Uganda.

Yesterday, Prof. John Ssebuwufu, the Kyambogo University Chancellors conferred masters, bachelor's degrees, diplomas and certificates on 1,973 students from various academic disciplines.

Today, a second batch of graduands are receiving their degrees and diplomas in graduation events which are expected to last for three days.

Of the 7,157 students, 3467 are Males and 3590 females.

However, parents are worried their children have to run on the streets looking for jobs as has become the norm in the current Uganda.

Wednesday’s graduands were from, school of Management and Entrepreneurship and Faculty of Special Needs and Rehabilitation.

Prof. Ssebuwufu warned them against living reckless lifestyles to avoid contracting diseases that can finish off their lives.
