At least 8 people are in Police custody in Fort Portal on allegations of murder of a one killed Robert Mwesige, a resident of Kansenene village, Busoro Sub-county, Kabarole district.
The suspects whose identities Godliver Twinomugisha, the OC CIID Fort Portal police declined to reveal, were arrested on Thursday. They include; two women, who were found in possession of the deceased's mobile phone.
According to Twinomugisha, the deceased's body was on Wednesday discovered near his home in Kansenene lying in a pool of blood with several injuries on the head.
The post-mortem report indicates Mwesige was hit with a sharp object on the head, which led to his death, and Twinomugisha, adds that a cap of one of the suspects was found at the crime scene.
Suspects are detained at Fort Portal Police station as investigations continue.
