About $3 million worth of jewelry was taken from a tour bus belonging to rapper Drake and his official DJ, Future the Prince, police said.

Police Sgt. Vince Lewis says the theft occurred Tuesday night at the Talking Stick Resort Arena in downtown Phoenix, where the men were performing.

According to investigators, a suspect entered the bus between 10 p.m. and 10:15 p.m. and removed a briefcase containing the jewelry.

Lewis says police do not disclose the identities of burglary victims but confirmed the jewelry did not belong to Drake.

On Wednesday evening, Phoenix police said they had recovered the jewelry and had a suspect in custody.

Authorities said 21-year-old Travion King was in the process of being booked Wednesday on charges related to the burglary.

Lewis said investigators identified King through surveillance footage.

They then learned that he was already in jail after being arrested for trespassing earlier in the day by campus police at Arizona State University in Tempe.

Police say the suspect has done contract work with local venues including the arena in the past.

Lewis did not say who owned the jewelry, but he confirmed it did not belong to Drake.
