Consolate Makuru, a first-year student pursuing a degree in Psychology at MUK was found dead in Ndaga hostel around Kikoni on Tuesday evening. More shocking details have emerged on why she ended her life.
It has been unearthed that her long-time boyfriend was cheating on her. It is said that she had helped her Kenyan boyfriend to start up Chapati business in Kikoni using her tuition with hope that the boyfriend would refund before the semester ended.

To her shock, she was informed that her boyfriend is dating another girl and was no longer interested in her. It this didn’t go well with Consolate and at around 3pm, she was seen leaving lectures to go to her hostel.
Sources say that she looked disturbed and not well. Source narrated to us that Makuru reached in her room and closed it and committed suicide. After a while, her roommate came and knocked but she wasn’t opening the door.
Knowing that Makuru was in the room, she started hitting the door so hard until the custodian got worried and came to her rescue. When the door was opened using a spare key, Makuru was found dead. The body was rushed to Mulago.
