To all entertainment lovers you have at least heard of SAVE UG MUSIC campaign, a movement by local artistes demanding at least 90% of media exposure than foreign content.

Word has it that Jose Chameleon and Eddy Kenzo initiated this with a Whatsapp group which was followed by a meeting held at Centenary park based LAFTAZ lounge where a committee was chosen. The gathering left Julius Kyazze of Swangz Avenue as the chairman, Angela Kalule as Assistant chairperson, Douglas Lwanga of NTV as the treasurer among many others.

In lesser than a month the Whatsapp group has been hit by a weird vice and some members have been swept off this including all media personalities who have been accused of leaking information to the public. Some of the suspects include Dikanhio, Innocent Nahabwe, Deejay Neemrod of Galaxy FM, Kasuku, and Douglas Lwanga among many others.

Artistes like Ceasarous didn’t survive the cleansing…he is accused of sharing his promotional artworks in the group frequently which is against the intentions of the chatroom.

“This group is for a course not marketing events,” a source told us.

Producer Bushington and public relations for this campaign said that journalists were deleted to allow musicians deal with their issues peacefully before they can announce their next move.

We have our spies in the group, we shall update you as the events unfold. Keep it here.
