Fly is a community of teens who are committed to doing things they love and shunning things they don’t like. Since its launch in September 2016, the Fly campaign has been committed to empowering teens to do their thing through various activities.
Last weekend, teens gathered at Kansanga based Galaxy FM to exhibit their different creativity skills in coming up with an appropriate sign to promote a ‘no smoking generation’.
During the event, the teens of Kampala spoke. While they have lots of varied interests, many teens had one thing in common – tobacco isn’t their thing. Teens are shunning cigarettes, shisha, kuber and focusing instead on the things they are into such as dancing, hanging out with friends, and staying true to themselves.
Meanwhile, teens were also entertained by Rodney of Team No Sleep (TNS) whose broken English sent the teens into uncontrollable laughter. Other activities during the day included karaoke, singing, and dance competitions.
The winner of the competition is not yet announced this implies that the competition is still open. Teenagers can participate by dropping their art pieces on the FlyUg Facebook page, at Galaxy Fm 100 Zzina offices or at NTV Uganda reception at Kampala Serena hotel.
The competition will run until the 19th January and the winner will be announced on the 29th January.
