Two days ago, news circulated on social media that Sanyu FM management had fired all its employees after they went on a sit down strike over salary cut.

The Kampala Road based Radio Station had to play music nonstop  for two consecutive days and this left listeners confused.

Veteran presenter James Onen alias Fat Boy later confirmed the rumours after he opened up that he had been fired after 21 years of service.

The station hurriedly hired comedian Patrick Salvador for the breakfast show to replace Fatboy.

This didn't go well with a section of listeners who vowed to boycott Sanyu FM.

They termed Fat Boy's replacement as  disrepect.

The self procliamed Man from Ombokolo through his social media platforms has come out to reveal that Ruparelia Foundation hired him temporary basis until they find a perfect replacement.file

“I'm not replacing, I’m filling in till a presenter is hired ... eish Ugandans,” Salvador posted.

Meanwhile, Sanyu FM stands at a risk of being dragged to court over what has been described as unfair dismissal of its workers.

"You may have heard that we have been unfairly fired for a sit down strike for protesting a 25% pay cut while we work. This is not in the spirit of fair negotiation between Sanyu FM and its staff!,” an anonymous person posted on Sanyu FM Twitter Account.
