2015 has not been Meek Mill's year. After an embarrassing loss to Drake in the hip hop feud of the year and facing jail time over a probation violation last week, the Philly MC says he's also lost hundreds of thousands of dollars as a result of not being granted the right to leave his home state of Pennsylvania.

Sources tell TMZ that the rapper is not only losing money from cancelled shows, but that he’s also doling out thousands every month for commitments he made prior to the court ruling, including a Los Angeles mansion he leased with Nicki Minaj and a rented recording studio in Los Angeles. He reportedly also fears backlash from fans if he has to back out of a sold-out New Year's Eve concert with Minaj.

But all is not lost for Meek, he still has a lot of powerful friends in the hip hop community who are voicing their support. Rick Ross took to Instagram to defend his Maybach Music Group artist by posting a screenshot of an IG post that Meek wrote, but did not post on his own page:

“I’m actually fighting for my life and freedom…Something I’ve been going thru from a case I caught at 19 years old and been on probation since…I am 28 now,” it reads. “It’s funny to see people on the internet laughing and joking about me and my family going thru these things, it shows me where the world is at nowadays!”

The rapper made it clear, however, that all hope is not lost: “But if you are for me prayers up and wish me the best!  Thank you to everybody that ever supported and I will continue to b great!  If this is my last post know I will continue to remain strong and grow to b a better man and set a example for every minority with a dream that anything is possible. Trials and tribulation and chances make chances & never lose faith!  No matter how things go.  PRAYERS UP!!”

Rozay captioned the post with a simple message, “We will all remain positive and continue to #SUPPORTMEEK.”

This is not the first time Ross has come out in support of the Dreams Worth More Than Money rapper. He was one of the few to step up and support Meek during the Drake debacle, saying “ain’t nobody get bodied,” in response to claims that Meek buckled under the pressure.
