This year, Valentine’s Day falls on Wednesday 14th, which is the same day as the Unplugged Session. Liquid Silk has therefore chosen to mark the day with a live jazzy performance from Uganda’s guitar maestro, Michael Ouma.
Michael Ouma is a renown Ugandan jazz guitarist. For several years his acoustic music has endeared him to Uganda’s elite jazz-loving crowd. Besides performances at Liquid Silk, Michael Ouma has also stepped on big jazz stages like Jazz Safari, Roast and Rhyme as well as international tours.
Liquid Silk management seems intent on marking the date with packages for those who wish to celebrate as couples.
Charlie of Liquid Silk confirmed that to mark the lover’s day, Liquid Silk would offer dinner as well as flowers and chocolates at a discount for couples to have a full valentine’s experience.
Unplugged Sn 2 has already hosted some of Uganda’s top talent like Ykee Benda, Radio and Weasel, Chameleone and most recently Angela Kalule. With the addition of Michael Ouma, on Unplugged Valentine’s edition, Liquid has now tapped into Uganda’s jazz-loving crowd.
Being the first Unplugged on Valentines and the first Jazz Unplugged Session, many revellers in Kampala are looking forward to the show.
