Eddy Kenzo, the big boss of Ugandan musicians (president of the Uganda National Musicians Federation), had some advice for music producers: talk it out with the singers!

“Producers should set terms and conditions with musicians and come to an agreement,” Eddy Kenzo said during a TV interview

He basically said the federation can't solve arguments unless producers take charge. They should figure out a deal with the musicians on how to share the profits fairly.

This comes after producers said they deserved a bigger cut (80%!) because they believe they do more for singers than anyone else.

On another note, Eddy Kenzo is lobbying the government to give musicians some cash directly. His goal is to help them improve their lives without getting stuck in debt from shady lenders.

Apparently, when he tried to do something similar himself (giving money to struggling musicians), they complained that the requirements were too tough.
