Kyabazinga of Busoga, Kiyonga, Nduhura and Brig Balya appointed Ambassadors

President Yoweri Museveni has pursuant to Article 122 (1) of the constitution appointed ambassadors and heads of diplomatic missions in different countries.

President Yoweri Museveni has pursuant to Article 122 (1) of the constitution appointed ambassadors and heads of diplomatic missions in different countries.

Key names on the list is recently fired CMI boss Brig. Ronnie Balya who has been posted to Juba South Sudan, former Kasese legislator and defence minister Chrispus Kiyonga who has been posted as Uganda’s ambassador to Beijing China,  former Bushenyi legislator Richard Nduhura who goes to Paris France, and Maj Gen. Matayo Kyaligonza who heads to Bujumbura in Burundi.

Others are Kibedi Zake Wanume who heads to Copenhagen in Denmark, James Kinobe goes to Khartoum Sudan, Prof Sam Turyamuhika Mogadishu Somalia, Mubiru Stephen goes to Ankara Turkey and James Mbahimba who goes to Kinshasa DRC.

Also appointed is Onyanga Aparr Christopher who heads to Geneva Switzerland, Nelson Ocheger to Abuja Nigeria, Hyuha Samali Dorothy Kuala Lumpur Malaysia, Wonekha Oliver goes to Kigali Rwanda, Sam Maale to Cairo Egypt, Olwa Johnson Agara Moscow Russia, Nimisha Jayant Madhvani to Abu Dhabi.

The president also appointed former legislator Nsambu Alintuma to Algiers Algeria, Betty Akech Okullu who heads to Tokyo Japan, Katende Mull Sebujja goes to Washington US, Moto Julius Peter  heads to London UK, Blaak Mirjam  goes to Brussels in Belgium, Solomon Rutega to Guangzhou South East China, Grace Akello goes to New Delhi India, Phoebe Otaala heads to Nairobi Kenya, Tibaleka Marcel  Berlin Germany, Napeyok Elizabeth Paula to Rome Paris, Dr Kisuule Ahmed  to Riyadh Saudi Arabia, Rebecca Otengo to Addis Ababa Ethiopia, Ruth Aceng goes to Ottawa Canada, Prof. Joyce Kikafunda to Canberra Australia, Nekesa Barbara Oundo to South Africa, Dr. Ssemuddu Yahaya heads to Tehran Iran, Ayebare Adonia heads to New York, Richard Kabonero to Dar Es Salaam Tanzania, His Highness Gabula William Ambassador special duties, office of the President.

Ocula Michael and Mohammed Kezaala have been appointed deputy Ambassadors.

These await approval from the parliament’s appointment committee before assuming their respective positions.
