Reliable sources have revealed to us that the CEO of Vision Group, Robert Kabushenga might leave the industrial based media house in July this year.

Sources add that stakeholders and Board members may not allow him to renew his contract in July when it expires and meetings have been taking place over his contract.  It is alleged that the government is not willing to renew his contract and below are some of the reasons why Kabushenga may be jobless soon.

His links with opposition leaders

Kabushenga hails from Kigezi just like Kiiza Besigye. On several occasions, Kabushenga has been torn apart when it comes to issues to do with Besigye and government officials. When he used to be a guest speaker on Capital Radio during the Capital gang show, he would openly show his love for Amama Mbabazi.

Some people say Kabushenga was behind Mbabazi during the last concluded elections. He was secretly campaigning for Mbabazi within the paper.  Some stakeholders doubted his sincerity when it came to the president.

Creation of products that are against government officials

There were allegations that Kabushenga created products at Vision group that targeted the government officials.  He was the brain behind the birth of Kampala sun paper and some board members were against the idea because its content was against the core values of New vision. They only wanted mainstream news.

There have been allegations of corruption and extortion at New Vision. Recently, Kabushenga fired several workers for misconduct and he has exposed his rule at the media house.
