Panic in Buikwe as Fourth Girl is Kidnapped

Police in Buikwe are looking for unknown people who have kidnapped another girl, identified as 17-year-old Nasimu Gonza, a resident of Kasanja zone in Mbiko Njeru division in Buikwe district.

Police in Buikwe are looking for unknown people who have kidnapped another girl, identified as 17-year-old Nasimu Gonza, a resident of Kasanja zone in Mbiko Njeru division in Buikwe district.

The victim’s mother, Barbra Namwase, says her daughter was kidnapped on Saturday while returning from work in Jinja town. 

Namwase says that she received a text message from her daughter’s phone indicating that she wasn't well. The mother, however called several times to speak to Gonza, but her calls went unanswered prompting her to send a text message.

When she finally picked, Gonza told her mother that later she had been kidnapped by unidentified people and tied with ropes. 

Hellen Butoto, the Ssezibwa Region Police Spokesperson, has confirmed the kidnap, saying they are doing their best to see to find Gonza. 

Gonza‘s kidnap brings to four the number of people kidnapped from Buikwe district. Other victims were Brianna Nalule, a resident of Nakibizi who was kidnapped from the old taxi park in Kampala and showed up dead after her family failed to pay a ransom of Shillings 10 Million, four-year-old Teddy Lunzinda and 17-year-old Mary Namayanja, residents of Kinyoro and Butema villages respectively.

While Luzinda was returned to her parents after paying a ransom of Shillings 1 million, Namayanja was dropped at Namboole in Kampala.
