Farouk Dhikusooka, the Head Teacher of Buharain Nursery and Primary School is in the tens of Police in Iganga district for allegedly misusing registration fees for Primary Seven candidates.

The suspect diverted the money meant for booking space for his school’s 20 candidates for own consumption. The young girls and boys were denied access to Primary Leaving Examinations that started Monday and end today across the country.   The candidates’ dreams started fading when they were locked outside the examination room at Buwasa Primary School, Iganga municipality where they had reportedly registered from. This prompted those available to call police and report the matter.   James Mubi, the Busoga East Police Spokesperson says they had initially arrested George Tigawalana the District Inspector of Schools, who was accused of misleading the school on the registration process, only for him to be cleared and the mess traced back to the broke Head Teacher.   Mubarak Musimami, the school's director had told police that Tigawalana assured him that he would help the pupils to sit for exams even when they tendered in registration fees late, and that he was to blame for the last minute predicament.  However, Tigawalana denied all the allegations arguing that he warned the school management of the consequences that would result from late registration in vain.

A total of 646,080 pupils are sitting their examinations across the country.
