A cloud of horror covered Ogolai Sub County in Amuria District when members of Ikarugwok clan set a church ablaze for allegedly spreading what they believe is falsehood.
The unfortunate events happened last evening when an angry mob descended on Boldness Church and without fear, brought it to the ground following a resolution by the clan members.
The mob accused the church leader Pastor Girifin Ebiaru of preaching things contrary to the teachings of the bible, and not even his pleas with the clan members to spare the church could save him.
According to Simon Opio, a member of Ikarugwok clan, Pastor Ebiaru has stopped members of his church from seeking treatment from health units and sending their children to school for the last three years, saying God would heal and provide them knowledge respectively.
However, Bernard Opolot, the leader of Ikarugwok Clan, says they intervened when conflicts erupted in Pastor Ebiaru's family over treatment from where the biggest numbers of Boldness Church followers come.
