Police finally confirms Commissioner Alalo's death

Uganda police force has finally confirmed the demise of one of its own, Commissioner Alalo Christine who perished on Sunday's Ethiopian Airlines plane crash.

Uganda police force has finally confirmed the demise of one of its own, Commissioner Alalo Christine who perished on Sunday's Ethiopian Airlines plane crash.

According to Fred Enanga the police spokesperson, Alalo who has been serving under AMISOM in somalia was returning from Italy to Mogadishu, Somalia when she boarded the ill-fated plane. 

The Boeing went down six minutes after taking off from Bole international Airport in the Ethiopian capital Addis Ababa, killing all 157 people on board including the crew.

 Enanga says the IGP had contacted the deceased officer's family and formed a task tram headed by AIGP Grace Turyagumanawe the Director peace support operations to to coordinate with both the AU headquarters and Ethiopian Airlines to ensure that Alalo's body is returned home for a descent burial. 

He however warns that positive identification process and other protocols of the African Union could delay the the arrival of her body, but adds that the Director police health services is expected travel immediately with an immediate family member to Addis Ababa to identify the body.

Ugandans on social media have been speculating about the death of Alalo but police could not readily confirm. By last night, Enanga issued a statement claiming they still hadn't confirmed until this afternoon.

Alalo is survived with two sons. She is the only Ugandan that perished in the crash. May her soul rest in peace.
