The ruling National Resistance Movement NRM has released the roadmap for party primaries in the new districts of Kikuube, Bugweri, Kwania, Kasanda, Kapelebyong and Nabilatuk.

The roadmap was released on Monday at the party secretariat in Kampala. According to a statement released by Rogers Mulindwa the party publicist, NRM members in the aforementioned districts will go to polls on Wednesday November 21st 2018 to elect flag bearers.

Members will elect District women representatives, to parliament and LCV chairpersons. The statement also indicates that the party will hold an election of the district woman representative to parliament in Hoima on the same date.

The districts are part of the 22 that were approved by cabinet in August 2015. They took effect on July 1st 2018. Nabilatuk was curved out of Nakapiripirit, Bugweri from Iganga, Kasanda from Mubende, Kwania from Apac, Kapelebyong from Amuria and Kikuube from Hoima.

After these, there will be one more phase of districts set to take effect on July 1st 2019. These are; Obongi from Moyo, Kazo from Kiruhura, Rwampara from Mbarara, Kitagwenda from Kamwengye, Madi-Okollo from Arua and Karenga from Kaboong.

The NRM primaries will determine flag bearers who will represent the party in the by-elections that will be organized by the electoral commission.
