Singer David Lutalo and his manager have been dragged to Katwe police station by a city businessman, John Kabanda over money.
In a statement recorded at Katwe Police, Kaddu claims that David Lutalo and his manager sold him a concert “ Gyenvudde wa Lutalo” that was supposed to take place on 16th Sept 2017.
However, when he called the singer, he was told that the concert will not take place as they had earlier agreed.
When he tried calling back for clear explanations, the phones were switched off.
According to Kabanda, he reached an agreement with the singer to buy the concert at Shs 40m. He immediately deposited 7.5m on Centenary bank account that was provided to him by Lutalo and his manager.
As time went by, Kabanda kept on depositing money on the account as earlier agreed.
Our snoops landed on a document that shows that Kabanda had paid up to 70% of the costs. The costs included ads and venue which as Freedom City.
