Jazmine, Judith Heard speak up against slavery

The story of slavery in Libya is disturbing almost everyone in the world. CNN recently published a video showing black people being auctioned in Libya. The video has provoked emotions worldwide including our local celebrities, with many pouring their hearts out on the web.

Judith Heard wrote, “Slavery never ended. It continues worldwide and affects the entire global community. We must take a collective stand to ensure that everyone human is free. We must amplify the cries of the voiceless and those whom many wish to outright ignore. We will not ignore your cries.”

Jazmine also took to Instagram to say, the video is heartbreaking, especially because this is 2017, not 1800.
