British actor Daniel Kaluuya who is of Ugandan origin is having prime time since his outstanding role in the movie, Get Out, which was rewarded with a nomination in the Oscars. Kaluuya also won the best rising star award in the recently concluded BAFTA awards.
Kaluuya's family hails from Kayunga, Busoga.
While he enjoys massive success in Hollywood, officials in Busoga have reportedly sent him an appeal to return to Uganda and find a woman here.
According to Busoga Kingdom’s minister of tourism, Hellen Namutamba, “The Kingdom has sent officials to talk to the star about marriage.”
“He is one of us and we are proud of him. We want him to keep our culture strong. That’s why we want him to find a Ugandan woman," she added.
Kaluuya is one of the actors in Black Panther that has smashed all-time box office records.
