Barely three months after his appointment and with just one match in charge, England boss, Sam Allardyce has been sacked.

The unsuspecting manager was recorded telling who he thought were representatives of a firm that he could use his position to help them get around rules on obtaining third party rights to a player.

He expected to sign a four hundred thousand pound deal with the firm to help them bend the rules. The FA abolished third party ownership of players back in 2008. Third party ownership involves companies owning stakes in players as strategic investments.

He was summoned for an investigation on Tuesday morning by FA Chairman Greg Clarge and Chief Executive Officer, Martin Glenn.

Sam Allardyce was appointed in July after Roy Hodgson resigned followed a disastrous Euro 2016 outing.
