“Cesc Fabregas admits Chelsea "hate" their current position - but vows to still win the Premier League” Arsenal’s Former Midfielder, Cesc Fabregas, believes Chelsea can still win the Premier League title - despite being ten points adrift already. The champions have endured a nightmare start to the season and lie, 12th, having lost four of their opening eight games.

"For most of us at the club, it's the first time we have ever been down there. Now we know how it feels and we all hate it. It's clear this time we are doing things wrong and our performances have not been at the level required at this club," he said.

"I still believe we can win the league. It's not going to be easy but a ten-point gap at this stage of the season is not impossible. No one at Chelsea is happy with our current position but I would prefer to be here now than at the end of the season."

Chelsea's poor start to the season has increased the pressure on Jose Mourinho, just months after guiding the club to the title. Following the defeat to Southampton, the Portuguese stated the board must sack him if they wanted him to go - as he would not walk away. The club responded with a public vote of confidence and Fabregas insists Mourinho is the man to turn it around at Stamford Bridge.

"Jose is the best manager in the history of this club and the best manager we can possibly have. There is no one better to turn this around. He always makes the best decisions and I'm sure he will get the best out of us again," confirms Fabregus.

However, Mourinho has so far been hit with a one-match stadium ban and been told to pay £50,000, which is an approximate of (shs278,567,400 Million) following his comments after the Southampton defeat.
