The annual shell gas tokosa food festival held its 4th edition at UMA show grounds over the weekend.
Howwe has learnt that the event was graced by all kinds of people from the young to the adult who participated in very many activities.
The activities that were participated in at the festival included, eating competitions, cooking competitions, celebrity cook outs, children cooking competitions, bachelor cooking competitions among others.
Some of the notable winners of the day were Urban TV's Denzel and Comedian Idringi Patrick "Salvador" who was the emcee of the day together with Radio City's Deedan and McKenzie.
The winners bagged massive goodies from partners and sponsors which include Fuel vouchers, gas cylinders, meal vouchers, shopping vouchers, cheques and many more.
The festival revellers also enjoyed live performances from Janzi Band, Dj Slick Stuart and Roja, Dj Xyzl and Sheebah who climaxed the day at around 10PM.
Part of the proceeds from this year's festival were directed towards support of the Bless a Child Foundation, a beneficiary that aims at providing improved Childhood cancer care services. Bless A Child Foundation has received a year’s worth of Gas Refill for their new kitchen while the other part of proceeds has been forwarded to Grace Villa in Kabale which does not only provide disadvantaged girls with support but also started the "Wateeka" initiative to offer free lunch to school-going children that may not afford it.
The Wateeka initiative has received a new Shell Gas Kitchen with a year’s supply of free gas.
