There is tension and panic in NBS TV newsroom as top news anchors and presenters have been denied new permanent contracts.
Solomon Serwanjja, Mildred Tuhaise, and Rukshana have been relegated to freelance journalists at NBS TV. A reliable source we have talked to has revealed to us that the communication came through last night (Sunday) from the ED Kin Kallisa.
We are yet to establish the exact reasons behind the drastic decision that was taken by the management of NBS TV considering these are big names in TV industry. When Solomon joined NBS from NTV, he was promised heaven and earth. When he reached the station, he started working like there was no tomorrow.
Another source alleges that following the departure of station Manager two weeks ago, the named three were secretly organizing a strike in the newsroom. However, their motives were known before they could take action. The station manager fell out with the ED over the future of the station.
