The Swangz All-Star Concert featuring Jamaican star Tarrus Riley was held yesterday night at Lugogo cricket oval.
Among the many Ugandan acts that performed were Vinka, Ykee Benda, Winnie Nwagi, Bebe Cool and many more but one of the performances did not go as planned as #FreeBobiWine cult boycotted Bebe Cool's performance in a violent manner.
Bebe Cool got on stage at about 10 PM but the "Tubonga Nawe" lead singer's performance was interrupted less than 3 minutes into his performance as the revellers continuously shouted "Free Bobi Wine" as they threw all kinds of insults and bottles at the NRM die-hard fan.
Bebe Cool who stubbornly refused to leave stage brought the show to a standstill for over 40 minutes until he was whisked away by force by the army and police to save his life from the violent supporters.
Howwe managed to talk to Bebe Cool just after he left the stage and this is what he had to say, "People want me to love what they want me to love not what I love. I will not. I am a grown-up man. I know what I want and I won't change for anybody. I will keep Bebe Cool." The frustrated "Freedom" singer said.
After Bebe Cool left the stage, the main act of the night, Tarrus Riley took centre stage and put on a massive performance that went up to midnight.
