Tuff B, NBS TV presenter, known for being critical of the government, expressed his frustration with the ruling National Resistance Movement (NRM) for not supporting the music industry.

He accused the NRM of employing a divide-and-rule strategy to stay in power and prevent potential challenges from artists like Bobi Wine.

“The NRM gov’t lacks political will to support the music industry, but will create many small factions disguised as music federations only to divide musicians to prevent more Bobi Wines. This divide-and-rule strategy is used by dictators throughout history to prevent revolutions,” reads his post.

Tuff B's statement came in response to the formation of the Uganda National Musicians Federation (UNMF), which has left artists divided into smaller groups.

The federation's leader, Eddy Kenzo, confirmed its certification by the Uganda Registration Services Bureau (URSB) recently.
