Musician, Eddy Kenzo, has revealed the Uganda National Musicians Federation has put in place measures to hinder Drug Addiction, and misuse among musicians.

This follows a long list of musicians who have suffered drug addiction and related issues including Pretty Glo, Cute Kaye, Jackie Chandiru, and recently Grenade who is almost falling in that suit.

Eddy Kenzo, the President of the federation explained they have put in place a mental health department, and hold mental health awareness programs for musicians almost every week.

"We put in place a mental health department which is in operation and different programs are running including mental health awareness almost every week to help musicians on this vice." he said in an interview with a local television.

The singer also adds they put up rehabilitation centres for musicians at Serenne suites in Mutudwe, and quite a good number of them are going through rehabilitation.

The BET winner believes musicians can forego drug addiction and related issues if empowered and provided with depth information on dangers of drug misuse.
