Mike Wine and Eddy Kenzo began their music career together at Firebase.

The two rose to stardom after the success of their song "Yanimba," which resonated across airwaves all over the country.

However, Eddy Kenzo quit Firebase just months after the release of the song, also parting ways with Mike Wine.

Kenzo said he left Mike Wine because he was selfish with money, failing to share all the proceeds collected from the "Yanimba" song.

Mike Wine was responsible for collecting money from promoters and event organizers but refused to share it with Kenzo, forcing his departure from the Firebase crew.

"Money separated us at the time. Mike was the big one, and the promoters used to go through him if they wanted us to perform the song. However, he never cared about me, and I was never receiving money, so I had to move on and start a new life," he partly said.

Eddy Kenzo, however, adds that he doesn't regret his time at Firebase because it contributed to his career.
